Dr. Kevin Willison completed his PhD in 2009 from the University of Toronto (Canada) Faculty of Medicine, in Public Health Sciences (Social and Behavioral Health Sciences Division). Prior to doing so he completed an honors BA and Master’s degree in Sociology, with a focus on Health/Medical Sociology issues and Gerontology. He is currently an External Adjunct Professor in Sociology and Senior Lecturer with the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies at Lakehead University (Orillia Ontario Canada campus). He is published globally within such journals as Health Sociology Review; the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology; Public Health; the Journal of Complementary Therapies in Clinical Practice; and, the International Journal of Technology, Knowledge and Society.A world travelller, he has spoken at over sixty conferences. Dr. Willison has also engaged in funded research projects addressing such topics as health-related quality of life; elder abuse and neglect; falls prevention; and end of life care.
