    Correlation of Skin Cancer in Psoriatic Patients

    A frequent inflammatory, immune-mediated chronic disease with comorbidities is psoriasis. Psoriatic arthritis, cardiovascular disease, metabolic syndrome, inflammatory digestive disorders, and depression are common comorbidities of psoriasis. The link between psoriasis and specific-site malignancies has received less research. The myeloid dendritic cell, which connects the innate and adaptive immune systems and consequently plays a role in the regulation of cancer-prevention mechanisms, is a crucial cell in the pathophysiology of psoriasis. Inflammation has long been known to have a significant role in the formation of neoplastic foci, and this association between cancer and inflammation is not new.
