Dr.Paul Silverston trained as a Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic in San Francisco, USA in 1978/9, having previously gained a BA Jt Hons degree in Modern European History, Thought & Literature at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, England. He subsequently gained his MBChB at Bristol, England and then trained as a family doctor in Cambridge, England. He has published a number of papers on subjects as diverse as Teaching Safe Consulting; Pulse Oximetry; and Pre-Hospital Care and is currently co-authoring the update for the treatment of head lice for BMJ Clinical Evidence. He is currently Director of Primary Care Education and an Hon. Visiting Senior Lecturer at The Postgraduate Medical Institute, Anglia Ruskin University, Chelmsford, England; Senior Lecturer in Clinical Assessment Teaching, Dept of Primary Care and Public Health, Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, England; and Visiting Senior Fellow in Medical Education, University Campus Suffolk, Ipswich, England.
