Biography

Dr. (Prof) Abhay B Mane has received his M.D in Community Medicine from the prestigious Mumbai University, India during the period of 2000-2003. Currently, he is working as Professor in Department of Community Medicine at Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College, Pune, Maharashtra, India affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, Maharashtra, India. He has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities as teacher, trainer, researcher and Vice-Principal. His research has included diverse fields like mental stress, health system research, epidemiology, public health, NCDs and diabetes. Based on this research and fellowship training he has received several awards and honors, such as: Best Project Award for his project titled “DEPRESSION AND DIABETES: IMPACT OF DEPRESSION ON SELF-CARE AMONG TYPE 2 DIABETICS” as a part of fulfillment of his fellowship in Diabetes Management from Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed indexed journals (International & National) like Open Journal of Epidemiology (OJE), Journal of Medicine & Medical Research (JMMR), Journal of Medical &Science Research (JMSCR) and Unique Journal of Medical & Dental Sciences (UJMDS). He is an expert Reviewer for journals like BMC Public Health, Journal of Clinical & Diagnostic Research and Journal of Social Health & Diabetes. He has authored 25 research articles so far. He is a life member of Indian Medical Association, Indian Association of Preventive & Social Medicine, Indian Public Health Association and Research Society for Study of Diabetes in India.
