Biography

 Christine is currently a medical student at the University of Toronto. With her academic background, she has become involved with the University of Toronto Medical Journal as a review editor. She is also an executive member of the University of Toronto's first Geriatric Interest Group and hopes to continue towards a career as an academic geriatrician.

Christine has an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Studies with a pre-medical option and a minor in Gerontology and a Masters of Science Degree in Health Studies and Gerontology, both from the University of Waterloo. During her master's degree she was supervised by Dr. Paul Stolee and her thesis focused on comparing two methods of measuring functional independence in older adults using data collected from the musculoskeletal and geriatric rehabilitation units from two rehabilitation hospitals in Ontario. When Christine completed her degree, she worked as a research associate for the InfoRehab team at the UW site. "I thoroughly enjoyed being involved with such a talented, enthusiastic, and dedicated group," says Christine.
