Alcohol misuse in adolescent people is of growing concern, even though alcohol consumption among
adolescents has declined over recent years. Many 15 year olds have already consumed alcohol and adolsecents incline to consume sizably voluminous quantities of alcohol in one sitting. This article describes the quandary of alcohol misuse in adolescent people and the nurse's role in the aversion and treatment of alcohol misuse in this population. A stepped care, holistic approach is recommended, taking into consideration peer and family influence on alcohol misuse and the adolescent person motivation to transmute their demeanor. The term is an adjective describing an adolescent person in the process of developing from a child into an adult and dates from the tardy 18th century (Oxford English Dictionary). It is derived from the Latin verb adolescere’ which denotes to grow up. This short paper will review patterns of imbibing in adolescence and the jeopardy factors that are thought to predispose to the development of alcohol use and other co-morbid disorders in this age group. Alcohol is the world's third most immensely colossal risk
factor for disease and contributes to 4% of the ecumenical encumbrance of disease (Rehm et al., 2009). It is estimated that 2.5 million deaths each year are directly attributable to alcohol, with 9% of deaths in the 15- to 29-year age group being alcohol-cognate (WHO, 2011). These findings suggest that
public health strategies should fixate on child and adolescent health, and that adolescent imbibing should be given priority (Gore et al., 2011). The top online publishing
journals publish
articles which are cited as references by many authors in their work. Citations are important for a journal to get impact factor. Impact
factor is a measure reflecting the average number of citations to recent
articles published in the journal. The impact of the journal is influenced by impact factor, the
journals with high impact
factor are considered more important than those with lower ones. Indexing provides easy access of the article online. The international
journals are among the best
open access journals in the world, set out to publish the most comprehensive, relevant and reliable information based on the current research and development on a variety of subjects. This information can be published in our peer reviewed journal with impact factors and are calculated using citations not only from research
articles but also review
articles (which tend to receive more citations), editorials, letters, meeting abstracts, short communications, and case reports. The inclusion of these publications provides the opportunity for editors and publishers to manipulate the ratio used to calculate the impact
factor and try to increase their number rapidly. Impact
factor plays a major role for the particular journal.
