Biography

I am a Senior Research Fellow at the Swansea Centre for Health Economics (SCHE), Swansea University. I started my academic career as a Lecturer in Statistics in 1995. I have about 20 years of experience in academic teaching and research in areas such as statistics, demography, operational research and health economics. At Swansea, my roles involed designing, developing and pursuing research in the broad spectrum of health economics , especially economic evaluation of healthcare programmes and health technology assessment, decision analytical modelling, application of Operational Research tools in HE, and more recently I have grown research interests in primary care interventions reducing antibiotic prescribing and resistance. I teach health economics and decisional modelling on various courses at Cardiff and Swansea Universities, currently co-supervise three PhD projects and supervise a number of junior health economists. I have degrees in Statistics (BSc (Hons.) and MSc), Health Economics and Health policy (MSc) and Operational Research (PhD).
