Biography

Dr. Santos Castaneda is a Professor at Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain. He received his PhD in Medicine from Universidad Autónoma, Madrid, Spain. He is a member of several multi-center Spanish groups involved in the study of immune-genetics of different immune mediated diseases. He is the vice-president of the board of directors of the Rheumatology Society of Madrid (SORCOM) since 2009 and I am the elected president for 2012. He has been a Co-investigator in several multi-center clinical trials in osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

Research Interest

Experimental osteoarthritis and the role that sub-chondral bone plays in rheumatic diseases, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
