Professor, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo Holder in 2006 and Head of the Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology by 2010, head of the General Orthopedics Discipline and Head of Orthopaedic Oncology Group, Institute of Orthopedics and Traumatology, Hospital das Clinicas, FMUSP from 1985. His research is Oncology Orthopedics with emphasis on diagnosis and treatment of bone tumors, pseudotumoral injuries and soft tissue tumors of extremities. Engaged in the reconstruction of these injuries with the use of autologous bone graft and Tissue Bank. In malignant lesions specialized in reconstruction with modular prosthesis and bone graft Bank. In metastatic bone lesions is preventive surgery pathological fractures using interlocking nails. It also operates in performing arthroplasty surgeries in cases of osteoarthritis (hip, shoulder and knee).
