Research Interest

My passion in research is two-fold, (1) to generate evidence-based medicine by performing state-of-the-art Cochrane Systematic Reviews, Meta-analyses and Network Meta-analyses as well as development and dissemination of treatment guidelines that can change the way we practice medicine and provide the best care to patients with painful rheumatic conditions and (2) to improve our understanding of what impacts poor patient outcomes, such as moderate-severe pain and functional limitation in arthroplasty and design methods to improve these outcomes. As PI or co-Investigator on several previous and current federal and VA grants, I have performed and continue to perform several investigations focused on patient outcomes including pain, functional limitation and quality of life in patients undergoing arthroplasty
