Biography
Helen is Reader at Centre for Health Economics, as a well as Programme Leader of the MSc in Economic Evaluation for Health Technology Assessment Distance Learning Programmes in Health Economics. Most of Helen's research is comparative and evaluative, assessing the value for money or cost-effectiveness of two or more interventions from different perspectives (health care, social care, other public sector perspectives, non-public sector, voluntary, private and out of pocket payments). Much of Helen’s current research involves undertaking economic evaluation of long term care interventions. She also undertakes methodological research to explore the methods issues, potential solutions for undertaking economic evaluation.
