Abstract

Advocacy and its impact on the way of doing public health

José David Navarrete Santiago

Currently, there are needs to address different diseases that affect the development of a society, these are not only reflected in an increase in incidence, but also in the decrease in economic, human and intellectual capital for a community or country, so the development of skills for the recognition of needs that can be solved with public health policies has become one of the main goals of contemporary medicine, however the development of these skills in the student of the area of ??????health sciences It is lacking but obsolete, so for this I propose three stages, the first is the identification of a problem in a community, this could be from the absence of drinking water, to the absence of recreational areas, later developing a theoretical framework, making use of the established laws, this stage is the most important, since in each community this will change, above e all because of the historical and social background, an example is in Mexico where there are rural communities called ejidos, they have a governing body made up of a board of ejidatarios and it is this body that makes the decisions for the development of the community, without the need to apply for permits to state or federal powers, and the last point is the elaboration of a proposal for public health policy made up of the presentation of the problem, a theoretical and legal framework and an achievable and realistic solution.
