Psychoanalysis

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behaviour, cognition, and perceptions. See glossary of psychiatry. Psychiatrists assess all of your mental and physical symptoms. They make a diagnosis and work with you to develop a management plan for your treatment and recovery. Psychiatrists provide psychological treatment, prescribe medications and do procedures such as electroconvulsive therapy. In terms of a career, becoming a psychiatrist offers a better salary, but psychologists might be more employable simply because of the subspecialties they enter.  Psychiatrists can prescribe medication in addition to offering therapy, whereas most psychologists can only provide non-medical therapy. Psychiatry is rendering an open platform for the students, faculty members, researchers involved and interested in this subject. It accepts research work on all related disciplines of Psychiatry such as cognition, neurological aspects with behavioral changes, molecular analysis of neurological events, Psychotherapy, Forensic Psychiatry, Social issues associated with psychiatry, Stress and stress management, Psychotrauma, complex behavioral aspects of child and adults, understanding addiction and related perspectives, Geriatric psychiatry, trauma and allied mental conditions.
