With a background in medicine and neuroscience, I intend to undertake projects of clinical nature with emphasis on neuropsychiatric illnesses and their biological bases, like neuroinflammation, neurogenesis, by applying findings from animal models of affective disorders to human subjects suffering from psychiatric illnesses.
