Biography

Since 1993, H. Ishiguro works in clinics as psychiatrist and in the research laboratory of department of Psychiatry, Tokyo Medical and Dental University. From 2000 to 2004, he continued basic medical research as a Visiting Foreign Fellow at the National Institute on Drug Abuse / National Institute of Health (NIH), USA. From 2005 to 2008, he continued basic and clinical research as assistant professor of Department of Medical Genetics, University of Tsukuba, Japan. After H. Ishiguro worked as Chief Director of Clinic in Ikeda Hospital, Japan from 2008 to 2010, he moved to Department of Psychiatry and Clinical Ethics, University of Yamanashi, Japan as assistant professor. He works in the university hospital as both of Certificated Psychiatrist and Clinical Geneticist in Japan, and also continue research. He is mainly interested in Psychiatric Genetics and Biological Psychiatry. In 2004, he was a co-recipient of the Lilly Molecular Psychiatry Award. In 2008, he was a co-recipient of the Dr. Paul Janssen Research Award from Academic Encouragement Award of the JSCNP. In 2010, he was also a recipient of the Young Investigator Award from International Behavioral and Neural Genetics Society (IBANGS).
