Rates of Peri-Implant Disorders and their Risk Factors

Unwanted problems that may develop during implant therapy include peri-implant illnesses. The causes of peri-implant illnesses have not been fully analyzed, despite the fact that a number of risk factors are becoming obvious. This review's objective was to provide an overview of the prevalence and risk factors for peri-implant disorders by making use of recent articles from various perspectives. Peri-implant mucositis and peri-implantitis have a wide range of prevalences, according to numerous research (23.9%-88.0% at the patient level and 9.7%-81.0% at the implant level, respectively).
