                                                                                A Longitudinal Study on Respiratory Morbidity due to Air Pollution in an Industrial Town Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab, India

                                 Introduction: Air quality is continuously degraded in Mandi Gobindgarh an
  industrial town of Punjab in India, which may lead to respiratory morbidity this
  town.
Material and methods: A longitudinal study for 20 years (2001-2021) of follow up
  was conducted in Mandi Gobindgarh an “Industrial Town” of Punjab, India.
Results: Trends shows that air pollution level was extremely higher in Mandi
  Gobindgarh an industrial town during the period of 20 years as compared to
  permissible limit. Adjusted Odds Ratio for, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
  (COPD) in year 2021 was (OR=4.01, 95% CI 1.72-5.92 P=0.01) as compared to
  year 2001 i.e. (OR=2.23, 95% CI 1.10-4.53 P=0.03) were found significantly
