Dr. Soniza Vieira Alves-Leon is Professor of Federal University of Rio de Janeiro State and Head of the Neuroimmunology Division in the Department of Neurology of Clementino Fraga Filho University Hospital. She has Master Science and PhD in Neurology, and has devoted her clinical and research effort to the investigation of Inflammatory Idiopathic Demyelinating Diseases (IIDD) of Central Nervous System in immunology, HLA and clinical studies. She served as a member of several clinical trials. Dr. AlvesLeon is Livre Docente of Neurology since 2004. She was Visitant Professor of Sainte Anne University Hospital of University of Paris in 2005 and 2006, and has published and lectured, nationally and internationally on de topic of multiple sclerosis and other IIDD. She is presently conducting clinical and molecular studies with both Postgraduation Programs in University Hospital Clementino Fraga Filho and in Rio de Janeiro State Federal University.
