Biography

Nicolas Batty is board certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology, Pathology/Transfusion Medicine/Blood Banking, and Internal Medicine.  Dr. Batty comes to us from Roswell Park Cancer Institute in New York, where he completed fellowship in clinical hematology and medical oncology, and was an oncology hospitalist. Prior to that, he completed fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in clinical leukemia, pathology and blood banking/ transfusion medicine. He served his Internal Medicine Residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York and at St. Joseph’s Hospital in New Jersey. Dr. Batty’s special interests are in benign and malignant blood disorders, solid tumors including cancer of the breast, gastrointestinal/genito-urinary systems and lung, and clinical research. Dr. Batty sees patients at the Comprehensive Cancer Center’s main facility at Desert Regional Medical Center and at the cancer center’s satellite in La Quinta.
