Biography
Dr. Schweitzer received his medical education at Harvard Medical School, where he also obtained a Ph.D. in Cell and Developmental Biology. He trained in neurosurgery at UCLA and completed a fellowship at Yale Medical School in the surgical treatment of epilepsy, a condition on which he has published scientific research as well.Additionally, Dr Schweitzer has extensive experience in surgery for movement disorders such as Parkinsonââ¬â¢s Disease and tremor, having directed the program in Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery at Kaiser Permanente in Southern California for over 12 years, as well as in many other areas of brain and spine surgery.
