Born in Verona 26 January 1948. Honours degree in medicine and surgery in July 1973 in Neurology and Psychiatry in July 1976. Professor of Neurology since 2000. Author of over 380 publications, 150 in international journals. He has worked on investigations neuropharmacological in animal models and in extrapyramidal disease. Deals with cerebrovascular diseases (epidemiology, secondary prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute stroke), headaches, dementia, multiple sclerosis and severe brain injury.
