Aliza Ben-Zacharia, DNP-BC, CRRN, MSN, is a board certified nurse practitioner at The Corinne Goldsmith Dickinson Center for Multiple Sclerosis at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She earned her BSN degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel, her MSN from Hunter College Bellevue School of Nursing, and her NP certificate from Columbia University. In 2010, she earned her doctorate in nursing practice from Case Western Reserve University, with a focus in education. Among the first group of nurses to be certified in Multiple Sclerosis Nursing, she provides direct patient care, follow-up, and training for patients and their families and performs clinical trials. She has published chapters and articles about different topics including MS genetics, MS overview, DMAs, symptom management, and palliative care in MS; is on the advisory board of MS Perspectives, a quarterly magazine for patients with MS and their families; and is the chair of the International Organization of Multiple Sclerosis Nurses (IOMSN) website committee.
