Sea-cucumber High Impact Factor Journals

Sea cucumbers have long been used as food and traditional medicine in Asian countries with Stichopus hermanni, Thelenota ananas, Thelenota anax, Holothuria fuccogilva, and Actinopyga mauritiana as most highly-valued species. In the recent years, health benefit effects of sea cucumbers are validated through research project and have shown medicinal value like wound healing, neuroprotective, antitumor, anticoagulant, antimicrobial, and antioxidant. They live on sea floors throughout the world, but the greatest population is found in the Pacific Ocean. Most sea cucumbers resemble large worms or caterpillars and have soft, tubular bodies. They are gathered by divers or farmed commercially in large, artificial ponds. In addition to their culinary appeal, sea cucumbers are utilized in traditional folk medicine to treat a good sort of ailments. Only healthy undamaged individuals exhibiting unblemished tegument, firm attachment to the substrate and regular tentacle deployment and retraction (i.e. normal feeding activity) were selected for tagging trials.
