Andrology covers anomalies within the connective tissues concerning the genitalia, also as changes within the volume of cells, like in genital hypertrophy or macrogenitosomia. From reproductive and urologic viewpoints, male-specific medical and surgical procedures include vasectomy, vasovasostomy (one of the vasectomy reversal procedures), orchidopexy, and circumcision also as an intervention to affect male genitourinary disorders. Andrology is that the medicine that deals with male health, particularly concerning the issues of the male genital system and urological problems that are unique to men. It is the counterpart to gynecology, which deals with medical issues that are specific to female health, especially reproductive and urologic health.
