Dental anesthesia is a branch of anesthesiology which deals with the dental surgeries. Anesthetics used to induce anesthesia in dental surgeries are procaine, mepivacaine, etc.. The Dentist Anesthesiologist is the sole responsible for providing sedation services to the patients. To limit the amount of patient’s discomfort experienced during procedures, The Dentist Anesthesiologist will administer dental anesthesia. At the same time the Dentist Anesthesiologist will be adhering to all applicable regulations. Anesthetics used to induce anesthesia in dental surgeries are procaine, mepivacaine, etc. most commonly used anesthetic to achieve anesthesia in a dental surgery is lidocaine.
