Fresh and salty groundwater flows into coastal
waters as submarine groundwater discharge and is a crucial source of nutrients, contaminants and trace elements to the coastal
ocean. Recent research has revealed that an outsized portion of submarine groundwater discharge is saline water. Although this water was once ocean water, the mechanism controlling its flow into and out of the sediments has not been previously determined. Using seepage meters and geochemical tracers, scientists have directly measured and inferred groundwater be due land to sea. But they need not previously been ready to observe the other , large-scale flow or intrusion of seawater into coastal
aquifers to balance this exchange. Scholarly referee is that the process of subjecting an author's scholarly work, research, or ideas to the scrutiny of others who are experts within the same field, before a paper describing this work is published during a journal. The work could also be accepted, considered acceptable with revisions, or rejected. Peer review requires a community of experts during a given (narrowly defined) field, who are qualified and ready to perform reasonably impartial review.
