Dentistry is steadily accepting challenges and diverting from surgical approaches for the treatment of caries as new innovative caries disease management techniques provide dental teams with alternative options in treating young patients. An up-to-date understanding of non-surgical modes of therapy that are practical and appealing including silver diamine fluoride (SDF); silver modified atraumatic restorative technique (SMART), Hall technique, resin infiltration, etch bleach seal, hard and soft tissue laser, and air abrasion are demonstrated herein.
